Beware! Follow-up inspection 5 months

On first use this looked like a great case for the price. I bought one and it performed well and looked good. With additional straps, they work well in windy conditions. I went ahead and bought 2. This is a continuation of my first post. In our area the sun and a weak, sometimes medium wind. My own conclusion is that the straps above the car were added for two reasons. On the one hand, because the usual sewn-in front and back straps have very bad buckles. Mine broke after a few weeks. So I just tied the straps together, I figured it was a positive decision. Over the course of a few weeks to a few months (I've had 3) they all had their stitches open. It will never last without those straps. The upper straps are elastic and after two months the elasticity is gone. You can still pull them up, but they don't stay. The material is very thin and not waterproof. Two of mine broke and as soon as it started it was gone, end to end. In general, all three are useless to me. Because they keep coming loose, the plastic and metal straps have damaged the paintwork. Two of my cars need painting. Hope that helps.

Pros
  • All-weather protection
Cons
  • The list is getting long.
