Review on Spicer 708184 Differential Inner Gear by Gerson Lagerquist

Mounted on a 1998 Jeep XJ with a Dana 35 Trac-Lok (Limited Slip) differential. The diff clutch plates sounded worn and I wasn't sure about the condition of the spider so I ordered this kit to cover all the bases. The kit fits as expected and eliminates rear vibration. Installation was easy; good tip: you will need to compress the clutches and pull back the shaft gears using a threaded rod, washers and nuts to properly install and align the thrust washers. ****** I should note that the spider gears are a different design than the ones I took out. They are as they appear in the picture here on this listing. Parts are original Dana/Spicer; It just seems like they changed the gear design. New gears have been fitted and seem to mesh well. ******Four stars for now as this is a brand new install. I will check again in the near future. Edit: 5 stars. . . With this setup everything has been fine for the last 20,000 miles.
