Review on Weatherproof Electrical Outlet Holes Designed for Durability by John Springer

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very strong - I hit it several times with a hammer and it didn't break. screws required!

I needed a round junction box in my garage for a set of motion sensing spotlights and used nails to secure them to the exposed rafters. My hammer hit the edge of the box and the flanges that the nails went through and it didn't crack or break. I like its sturdiness, multiple cable entry points, and open hole plugs that make it weatherproof (which I don't need since it's in my garage). Note that you'll need machine screws in a variety of sizes to find one that actually grips the threads. Luckily I have a few cans of screws, washers, nuts, bolts, etc. left over from 30 years of project work and I rarely notice it. If you don't have as much stock as I do, read other reviewers' reviews first to get the exact measurements you need. Why this box didn't come with the correct screws confuses me.
