Stay away, mounting screws are junk

Threaded mounting screws are junk. If you use the right force to attach the light, they will peel off. I pushed it in for a 1/4" screw and now it holds. Stay away

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Requires socket

Will not fit standard electric lamp screws

Wasn't worth the 75 cents I saved at Lowes/Home Depot. The screws supplied with the lamps (standard length screws) do not screw all the way into the socket. The ones I buy from the big HI stores work perfectly, these just run out too quickly. Don `t save!

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Not sure

Doing a simple job is not that easy

What a PIA. As mentioned in other reviews, the threads for the screws that hold the mount are terrible. Luckily I have a large selection of screws. The holes are tapped but as soon as you put pressure on them they fall off. Garbage. A simple job that turned into a not-so-simple job. Next time I'll look at the rating.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

I wanted to love this "Proudly Made in the USA" round box, but mine had all four screw holes very poorly tapped. I suspect quality control fell asleep when it came time to check the quality of the threads on the four 10-32 mounts. The two threads I needed were missing, and when I rotated the box 90 degrees to use the other two available threaded mounts, the full-size screw still loosened the threads. Bad thread or bad hole diameter. I will not buy from this manufacturer again until they give me

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Damaged

Can make work unnecessarily difficult

Ordered with motion light. I haven't seen a rubber seal with 4 plugs, but for me it was very important. The problem was that the whole thing was spread too far apart and didn't match the lighting equipment. Also, the screws are not the right size and some are not fully tightened. Wanted to get thicker bolts, but that's why I had to order them first. I used a thicker screw in an old box and it slipped off me. I ended up taking a chainsaw file to open up the mount and get it working. The box I…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

This box is the worst electronic product I have ever used.

First, aluminum breaks easily. I broke it while attaching the lid. Second, the screws that attach the cover or small bracket are not the right size. That said, I didn't have them, and instead of 8-32 it was 10-32 or something because 10-32 wasn't cut quite right. I don't have 3/8" 10-32 screws, so I had to cut some longer 10-32 screws (which I found in that box of random screws I don't use) and use ground screws for the rest. Third mounting options for the bracket and cover are completely…

Pros
  • Made in USA
Cons
  • Quick guide

I needed a round junction box in my garage for a set of motion sensing spotlights and used nails to secure them to the exposed rafters. My hammer hit the edge of the box and the flanges that the nails went through and it didn't crack or break. I like its sturdiness, multiple cable entry points, and open hole plugs that make it weatherproof (which I don't need since it's in my garage). Note that you'll need machine screws in a variety of sizes to find one that actually grips the threads. Luckily

Pros
  • UL Listed Weatherproof
Cons
  • Receptacle Requires
