Review on Weatherproof Electrical Outlet Holes Designed for Durability by Daryl Barton

Revainrating 2 out of 5

This box is the worst electronic product I have ever used.

First, aluminum breaks easily. I broke it while attaching the lid. Second, the screws that attach the cover or small bracket are not the right size. That said, I didn't have them, and instead of 8-32 it was 10-32 or something because 10-32 wasn't cut quite right. I don't have 3/8" 10-32 screws, so I had to cut some longer 10-32 screws (which I found in that box of random screws I don't use) and use ground screws for the rest. Third mounting options for the bracket and cover are completely limited. Everything can be installed almost flush with the faceplate. Fourth, even the ground screw sucks. It's a slotted screw that doesn't turn smoothly. But the best part is that I use 10AWG for ground had to because it couldn't screw 14AWG or 12AWG wire in. I would only recommend this to those I really dislike.
