Review on 📦 OWC 0GB Mercury Elite Pro Dual USB 3.1 / eSATA RAID Enclosure Kit by David Perez

I wanted to like this case, but it didn't work out. Inserting and removing the cover is very difficult as it is so tight. As long as it's doable, it doesn't bother me much since I don't change discs often. The fan isn't too loud, but a few hours after I first started it, it started making a loud, piercing hum. It was very annoying, but when I put it on its side it mostly went away. I could even live with that, but what I couldn't live with was the intermittent issue of the drive not spinning up after waking from sleep or restarting the computer. One out of five or six times when the computer woke from sleep mode or restarted, the drive in the case would not spin up. I would have to unplug the Esata cable from the drive and plug it back in. Once this is done, the drive will spin up and be recognized by Windows 10. Well it's not a problem I can deal with and although the support has been very helpful. and friendly, they couldn't think of a reason either. So I returned this CD for a refund and will look elsewhere.
