Review on 📺 DISH MT2 OTA Module: Boost Your TV Experience with Enhanced Electronics by Richard Cartner

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It does what it's supposed to do and the only company making this particular product are cymbal manufacturers, so go for the cheapest.

It does what it's supposed to do, takes the signal from your antenna, decodes it and puts it into your 722k or 222k HD dish receiver. It's a good, powerful tuner, which means it finds and uses a signal, which is better than most of those little digital tuners and cheap TVs. It also adds your selected local channels to the channel guide and shows the relative signal strength of each channel. Another coaxial tuner connection adds a second coaxial output for the first tuner using channel 3 or 4, useful in some situations. This is handy if you also have an antenna as you can watch those channels directly from the antenna receiver instead of switching inputs when you want to switch. The only real downside to this module is that if your antenna loses signal, you might as well not watch the locals from your antenna (it's DRM, media companies love their 'rights'). So if you want to use your antenna as a backup, you have to connect it directly to your TV instead of using it, or you can split the antenna line and use both.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Not the best
