I bought this soundbar because I use my TV quite often to listen to music from Spotify, I have a Vizio TV and for movies and TV the sound is acceptable but for music it is not so good of - for the lack of bass. I didn't want to spend a fortune on something so I gave it a try as the price is very good and if it doesn't work it's not a big loss. This little unit exceeded my expectations for the price, whoever expects a soundbar to be a surround sound system is wrong, I wasn't expecting that, just wanted better than my TV and at least decent bass. It delivers. It's easy to understand, and the music, TV, and movie presets are acceptable to me. I've tried Spotify, movies and XBOX games and they all sound great. I'm using it in a room that's about 16ft by 20ft and it's perfect, when I set it to default it was loud and I found I turned it down a bit. The bass is just enough for a good rumble in action movies with explosions and other things. My only downside would be that the supplied optical cable is very short, most TVs have their inputs on the left side of the screen when viewed from the front and the soundbar has inputs on the right side, the optical cable barely reaches. The power cord isn't very long either, maybe that could be improved. That said, for the overall quality at just $90, buying another optical cable wouldn't be a big deal. I'm planning to buy a second one for another room but will wait a while to see if this thing holds up. If I have any issues with this within a year I will come back and update this review. It's really great quality for the price you pay. Don't expect to get Bose or multi-speaker surround sound. It's a noticeable improvement over the TV's built-in speakers and does its job well. It comes with screws and wall plugs if you need to mount it on the wall, the instructions provided are clear and very easy to use.
