I needed a way to store plush toys of different sizes for my daughters. I've tried baskets, baskets, drawers, drawers, hammocks. Nothing fit, everything ended up on the floor, mainly because she was constantly rummaging around, looking for something in particular. I found a 'zoo' plushie on the website which was lovely but my daughter is 7.5 and the zoo just seemed childish to me. So I built my own makeshift "zoo" out of wire storage cubes for half the price. A big part of this is that when she decides she's outgrown the stuffed animals, she can use the containers for books, magazines, hair accessories, shoes - whatever she needs to store them. This can be customized to suit your space. I bought 2 wire storage kits and used all metal walls; I had a few extra bars which is fine as I might need them in the future. I've attached a photo - I also bought a roll of pink bungee cord to make "prison" crossbars. She loved and likes to put away her stuffed animals.
