Every car is different but I have tiny vents that I don't want to block. So the vent clips didn't work for me. I can't make phone holders with CD insert because my CD player is in it. And I don't want holders that "claim" that they have an adhesive that "leaves no residue" when removed, but then, when I don't like it, peels or melts part of my car's finish. Glue in the hot sun, it may damage the car. So I wanted a phone holder with a cup holder. And this one works perfectly. It is durable and easy to repair. The look is very neutral and unobtrusive. For me, it sits perfectly where my hand can easily access the phone on the center console. That was the perfect solution for me. I was least concerned about losing the cup holder. The comfort it offers me is worth it.
