I've been doing video editing and podcasting for some time. I mainly used the mics found in gaming headsets (Logitech Pro X and Razer Kraken Ultimate) and wanted to try a standalone mic for gaming and voiceover. I bought this mic because it's cheap and comes with a boom and USB cable. Setup, installation and software are quite easy (about 5 minutes). Another important part of this setup is that it can be easily tucked away in a corner when not in use. The sound quality is better than most headsets and comparable to most expensive stand-alone microphones.
