Sometimes Apple can make it IMPOSSIBLE and TERRIBLE to use third party chargers/cables. I was actually looking for an OEM cable deal for my MacBook Air and found this one. I already had a piece of Magsafe cord that I bought on Ebay for $16. It has arrived and both cables work great together. It even feels as velvety as Apple. And I saved over 50% by not buying an Apple original. Now I can afford to put them in every room so I don't have to constantly pull out and move one of the walls. No more exposed wires or tape at pressure points. I am very happy with my purchase and would buy it again. Yes, there are cheaper versions here, but I went with this one because it had enough good reviews that I was comfortable with it, I didn't want to damage my computer. Not sure about durability yet, but the main reason my original is in such bad shape is because I had to move it constantly. This issue is fixed now so it should be a long time :) I will update if not.
