This does not protect your wounds from water, FYI. However, I only bought them for the scar reduction and a better fit compared to regular everyday patches. They require daily change due to lifting, but the wound is fully protected from external bacteria thanks to the hydrocolloid barrier. As long as the wound isn't submerged in water other than a shower, I think they'll do the trick. For the price, you win for the most part. Any regular borderless hydrocolloid dressing doesn't hold up that well so I'm happy with that! Not to mention that the hydrocolloid is a very expensive dressing, so it's worth it in my opinion. Update: After wearing it for three days (have to be changed daily due to poor adhesion), my skin developed a reaction to the adhesive. I have to change the patch every day to avoid the spot I used because of my reaction the day before! This is not for people with sensitive skin!
