I have an older goat with cancer and needed several options to give her extra warmth. I'm wary of electric heaters as electricity can be a fire hazard, especially around hay and straw. This heating pad worked better than I expected! I warm it up in the evening and put it under the mat for her to lie down - we've only been using it for a few days but she's already learned to lie somewhere warm. In the morning the pad was hard again, but still visibly warm. At the moment the temperature oscillates between 50 and 40 degrees at night so I'm not sure if it will stay as warm as the outside temperature drops but so far I'm very happy. I will be ordering more to provide additional heat sources for my goat.
