Edit March 30, 2019: Well, after a few months of use, the usual Samsung witchcraft followed. Contrary to what the benchmark says, this drive is now just as slow and unresponsive as the Kingston drive I've since thrown away. This mojo and crap went away after installing the update. It's still a cool little drive, but it looks like it's been slowed down, perhaps due to faster drives in development. First review: So far, so good. My MSI gaming laptop came preinstalled with a Kingston m.2 SATA hard drive and it worked, but not very fast. After cloning my system to the 970 EVO, I was dying to see the difference in speed. To my surprise, the loading time didn't change much, it could be half a second faster, so I started to wonder if the price is worth it. I decided to open Adobe Lightroom as that's the main way I use this computer. I was processing a batch of photos on an old drive and it took about 5 minutes. I processed the same batch with the 970 EVO and was blown away, 45 seconds from import to batch setup and export. I am very happy with this drive, my photography will be much faster now. Adding CrystalMark results to my old Kingston and 970 EVO. I was hesitant to spend that much on a drive, but now I can't wait to upgrade my desktop with one of these.
