Cute and roomy in calf area
These are a soft velvety type fabric. I sized up to an 8. Normally a 7 or 7 1/2 depending on the shoe. These fit good and leaves me a little extra room for thicker socks. Soles seem sturdy but time will only tell. I will update if anything changes.
