I bought this for my IKEA spotlights for my miniature painting table. The light produced is too white for miniature painting, so the light affects the color rendering when painting. The "sharpness" of the white was such that I added an old IKEA 2500k light fixture to one of the two lights I had so I could mix the colors to get a "working" color match. Because of the quality of the lighting, I couldn't "focus" on the colors I was painting. It's not a "color of the day" - it's something else. I ended up replacing them with https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01264B9WK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and found that I hadn't lost my mind. Replacement bulbs will shine just as bright (if not brighter) and be a more neutral white color. Not too blue. The replacements "appear" white in daylight, and I can confidently paint with accurate color reproduction. The difference between their designs is that the best lights have multiple LEDs, while this one discussed here only has one large LED. This is also much lighter than better quality flashlights. High quality headlights are heavier. 3 out of 5 stars because they are ok for the price. but I have a hard time recommending them for anything unless you like cool white lighting and imprecise color rendition in daylight.
