I had no problems with heating. However, the connection in the yard hydrant must be tight enough, otherwise it will leak like crazy. Why can't anyone in the RV industry make a decent hose connection? I used to use food hose and heating tape. You knew this worked because the water was warm for a few seconds before turning cold again. That hose? The temperature doesn't really matter. I had sub zero highs 3 weeks in a row. No problem. Fix your connection and get 5 stars. UPDATE DEC 1 2018; here it finally happened. This is the start of my second year on this tube, or my second winter season. After being away from my van for a few days, I came back and saw a dirty mess on the side of my van. My neighbor turned my water off because the hose had completely detached from the coupler that connects it to the fitting that tightens your garden hydrant. It was 11pm on a Sunday night so luckily I had a short spare tube and the temp was supposed to be only 34 degrees. The next day cut off the end and replace with a new connector and it works. This happened to another neighbor at the RV park and I believe this is a design flaw in the way the hose end is made.
