Description of ๐Ÿšฐ Camco 25 Ft TASTEPure Heated Drinking Water Hose - Energy Saving Thermostat, Lead and BPA Free (22911), Cold Weather (Freeze Protection to - 20หšF), Standard Packaging

Ideal for water line freeze protection down to -20 degree F (-28 degree C) with an energy saving thermostat. Made with NSF-61 certified drinking water safe hose. Includes female-to-male adapter to allow connection to the water supply on either end of hose; depending on the location of the electrical outlet. Durable exterior jacket protects water hose and electrical components from damage or exposure. Operates on 120V AC with an exterior Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (CFCI) electrical outlet. Should always be used with a GFCI protected outlet. This will help with overheating due to a short. If a -20 hose, Thermostat needs to be positioned away from any possible heat source. This will help with freezing. During extreme cold periods, a slow drip from the an inside spigot may help prevent a freeze up. Corded end can be positioned at the male or female end by moving the male to male fitting.

Very disappointed. When I turned on the water for

Very disappointed. The first time I turned on the water, the hose broke off the fitting on the end of the thermostat. What a pain to drain the water and then try to put it back in the box after stretching it.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Nothing

Leaky piece of junk

Looks good until you fill it with water. I used a pressure reducer and shortly after turning it on everything started dripping like a sieve. Hope the replacement doesn't run out. It also doesn't help that I waited until the day before frost to try it, I guess you live and learn.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Communication with seller

As I mentioned in a previous review, I really appreciate it.

As I mentioned in a previous review, I really appreciate the concept of this heated drinking water hose, but my 25 foot Camco heated drinking water hose failed after a 1 year winter. I now use this product which can be wrapped with thermal tape as it is metal over waterproof plastic tubing. Armadillo RV25 1/2" 25' Hose Galvanized steel RV water hose.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.

Don't worry what a disappointment

With nearly 25% of reviews being one star, I've decided not to listen. I bought and installed this hose well before winter to make sure everything was fine for the long midwest winter. Now I've circled my RV and packed up, on the third night below 20 degrees Fahrenheit (not -20 but just 20) the inner tube froze like a rock. Needless to say I didn't have water for my morning shower and although I wanted to brush my teeth in a dog water bowl I resisted. I am then informed that the returns windowโ€ฆ

Keeps water flowing even when it's freezing

We use our motorhome all year round so it's important to have a good drinking water hose for winter use. We just finished this hose when we had long periods of low to mid 20s every night and never had a problem with the water freezing in the hose or even restricting the flow. In this respect we are quite satisfied with this hose. I rated it 4 stars because it is very hard and bulky. Difficult to find a place to store the hose when not in use as it is very stiff and takes up a lot of space. Nowโ€ฆ

What a mess! to RV Parts & Accessories

Here I am in Idaho in the 20's. I am an elderly male battling stage 4 cancer and I NEED water but don't have it right now. I connected the hose less than a week ago and it seemed to be working fine. until this morning. I went outside and a large puddle of water flowed out of the end of the hose connected to my outside faucet. Reading other reviews I thought maybe the hose fell apart at the fitting like others said but it didn't. The hose actually has a crack somewhere further down. We cut offโ€ฆ

Great product to start with but 3 months let me down!

I've had this product for about 5-6 weeks. Works perfectly as far as I can tell. My neighbor was jealous that I got one and was upset that he made it the old fashioned way and mine came out of the box. Definitely recommend this product! I've heard a lot of bad things about them, but so far I'm satisfied. Been here on the Colorado plains in cold weather. To update! 12-16 I really liked this product for the first two months. It seems that the convenience of the product comes from the downsideโ€ฆ

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some bugs

I had no problems with heating. However, the connection in the yard hydrant must be tight enough, otherwise it will leak like crazy. Why can't anyone in the RV industry make a decent hose connection? I used to use food hose and heating tape. You knew this worked because the water was warm for a few seconds before turning cold again. That hose? The temperature doesn't really matter. I had sub zero highs 3 weeks in a row. No problem. Fix your connection and get 5 stars. UPDATE DEC 1 2018; here it

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Crumpled
