Review on CCZ Emerald In-Ear Earbud Headphones: 1DD+1BA 🎧 Hybrid Bass, Noise-Isolating Earphones with Mic - Blue by Pavel Craig

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great IEM for modern music like pop, hip hop and rap!

Opera Factory OS1 PRO should not be confused with the previous OS1 version. By all reports, this earbud (OS1) was a bit dark and cloudy. However; OS1 Pro couldn't have been better reconfigured. It's something of an extreme V-shaped sound signature, but it seems tuned for harmlessness. Rather than being harsh in the highs and vague in the bass, the OS1 Pro is very precise on both ends. What's left is relatively fast, punchy, tight bass, coming primarily from the mid and upper bass regions. with enough sub-bass presence for warmth and character. In other words, the sub-bass presence is slightly less in most music; resulting in increased bass clarity and less bleeding or blooming. I think Opera Factory made the wise choice of graphene as the driver material to provide that kind of fast sound and set this IEM apart from others on the market at or near this price point. The upper mids are well articulated and vocal tonality and clarity was surprisingly clear, crisp and natural for the price. Lower midrange instrumentation and male vocals were significantly larger in the mix compared to female vocals, but clarity and articulation remained good. Even if some mid-range components are sometimes presented in the background, they still appear transparent and articulated. The same applies to high frequencies. High frequencies are rolled up in the upper part, but it's nicely done; remains evident and with some brilliance, even if some decline is evident. Thus, the high frequencies are never harsh, harsh or overemphasized. This makes this set an excellent choice for contemporary music genres like pop, rap, hip hop and more; which may be slightly polished or alive for certain sets. The overall tonality is relatively neutral with little warmth due to the emphasis on low frequencies and rolling tones. For IEM, which is aimed at bass lovers, this was a welcome surprise, as was the graph driver's speed and resolution. Seems a fair price at $25. I compared OS1 PRO to other similarly priced IEMS like Blon BL-01, Blon BL-03 and Moondrop SSR. The clarity and resolution capabilities were more similar to SSR and thus superior to blons. However, the low-level highlighting was most similar to BL-01; but the mid-bass is controlled much faster and tighter. While mids were slightly less emphasized than Blons or Moondrop, mid-range clarity was comparable and the OS1 PRO's high-frequency detail was more developed and polished. But none of the heights featured here (including the OS1 PRO) should be described as straight in the face. The design of this IEM is lightweight yet comfortable. The case is plastic, but it's a little catchy from an aesthetic point of view, but not plain or overdone. The cable uses good connectors, a good Y-splitter, the microphone works well. And while the earhooks are a bit aggressive, I still found the cable comfortable to use. They also come with a very good set of ear tips and an interesting unboxing experience. My only criticism of the construction here is that it's too light and I wish the cable material used was a little more durable. like in general. It's expertly wrapped at both ends without much mess or loss of sound at either end. In fact, the OS1 PRO's clarity and resolution was surprising at this price point, and Opera Factory seems to have focused on what matters here: sound. It's more of a fun sound signature than an accurate one, however, but it's the power, speed, brilliance and likable character that I like.
