This mat has buttons that play different music or allow a child to play notes on the keyboard. The child needs to learn which buttons to press or ask an adult for help to make the mat do what they want. My 4 year old grandson liked the music but after a while he got frustrated when playing alone when hitting the wrong key stopped the music or prevented him from playing notes. We had a lot of fun playing with him.
