. We have had the same spruce for 6 years. Green plastic base with 4 screws to hold the tree in place. It worked, but we've had a few calls over the years. This year we got a little taller than our usual 7ft and they just wouldn't hold up and I just couldn't take it. So we went to Amazon and found that the plantings were way more expensive than we thought. I was holding my nose and was about to buy a $90 German coaster when my girlfriend found this one. She had to convince me it wouldn't be the same as ours but after reading the reviews I was convinced enough. So glad we went with him. For $20, the US-made stand does what it's supposed to do. The wood went in easily and held up well. A few steps above what I already have. I would definitely buy it again at this price.
