Unfortunately it just doesn't work as described. I have cleared the area of my tank where it is being siphoned but no luck. The suction lasts 10 minutes max and I catch it spreading throughout the tank. Of course, I won't remove it after every feeding, so if that's your intention, that will work fine. In the long term, however, no. Sucking is useless. The design itself is a little tricky to work with, although leaving the circular feeder floating is a good idea. It doesn't float in the right spot and adjusting can be an issue. .Overall I do not recommend this product but this can only be my experience and may differ greatly from others using it differently.
