Having spent almost 40 years in photography I'm over went to the edge and only took pictures to avoid carrying heavy cameras. D30 pleasantly surprised. While not very light, it fits easily in a small bag and doesn't weigh too much on the shoulder. The images are amazing and far surpass the results I've had with film, even with fine grain Kodachrome. Camera controls are easy to learn and available when needed. What shocked me the most were the highest ISO results. When using weaker lenses, blurred results due to camera movements are to be expected despite image stabilization. With image stabilization and the incredible D30 sensor, you can boost digital shots up to ISO 3200. From a cinematic point of view, this would be equivalent to moving a 400 ASA Tri-X three stops. However, the noise/grain is barely noticeable, especially after applying Photoshop CS2's noise filter. I was amazed at the results. Great purchase, improved by Revain. It is a pleasure to work with the company.
