Measure before you buy

I was thrilled to finally put a new stem and handlebars on my mountain bike to make it more comfortable. Unfortunately, this new stem not only didn't fit my new handlebars, it didn't fit my old ones either. Don't think it will fit most bikes unless you have measured the one you plan to install with the calipers. My new rods are great but looks like I'll stick with the old rod as it's too late to return.
