This calibration strip measures circumference/length and is suitable for bracelets. However, I do sharpen wooden bracelets. So I need to convert the circumference measurement to a radius number so I can mark it on the part I'm turning. I would prefer if the markings were in inches but that's just me. I have a metric ruler lying around somewhere. I looked at another gauge that was metal and listed in inches, but some reviewers had trouble bending it enough when measuring smaller sizes. So I would say that this plastic is a good tool. It's very flexible and inexpensive.
