This is my third DSLR after 1100d and 600d. Chose between 60d and 7d. 60d and 600d are basically the same. The 7 is a great camera, but a little outdated (there are no newfangled things), although it lies more solid in the hand, but the joysticks seemed more user-friendly on the 70d. So, what did I get when replacing 600d with 70d? 1 - Built-in lens adjustment! It is set up in an elementary way, remembers up to 40 lenses by serial number. 2 - A slightly enlarged physically matrix (hence a completely different picture - both in dynamic range, and in sharpness, and in noise reduction!). By the way, about noise, on an old camera 800 is right on the edge, on 70d 1600 - no problem, 3200 - you can pull out a good picture, closer to 6400 the picture is like on 600d at ISO 800)) 3 - Management. It's completely different here. When I took it in my hands for the first time, I didnโt understand at all what to poke and twist. Having supported the camera in my hands for 30 minutes, I realized that everything is in its place and the control delivers a lot of positive emotions. At 600d and six months later I looked where which button is, at 70d in a week I control completely blind 4 - A lot of fine adjustments, which were very, very lacking at 600d (a wide choice of image formats - 3 types of raw and a bunch of jpegs, which you can choose in any combination; WB selection by temperature; ISO by 1/3 steps; 19 focus points ; special pre-installation manual mode; switching to video with a separate toggle switch; the mode selection wheel spins in a circle with a protective lock button, etc., you wonโt remember everything!) I listed 20 percent of the advantages of 70d over 600d)) In general, my verdict is this - at the moment one of the best crop cameras from canon. Do not compare with 7dm2 - the scope is different, and if without a sports report before for that kind of money it is already better to take FF 6d. The next step will already be only FF, but I feel that such a camera will not get bored for a long time and will delight with wonderful pictures!
