Review on Sinech 17Pin Adapter MACBOOK Retina by Brian Motley

Revainrating 3 out of 5

But it works and in my MacMini the server works fine with an additional 512GB SATA SSD

cheap chinese adapter but it gets the job done. Worked great on my spare 512GB Macbok SSD. I'm seeing 300MB/s writes, but that really depends on what drive you're using, not this adapter. It was too long so I couldn't fit it into anything. I ended up using the drive in the second hard drive bay of my MacMini Server (a quad-core box with no optics). It's been too long Since there was no circuit at the end (on the side of the screw) I broke it off. I also had to break off about 1/4 inch from the SSD (again, not damaging any circuitry, just the circuit board and mounting nut). I used an electric faucet to hold it up. Sever works great with its optional 512GB SATA SSD. OS X also sees it as a native Apple SSD.
