🔌 Original 44W Charger AC Adapter for Microsoft Surface Pro 5 (Model 1796) & Surface Book 2 13.5" - 15V 2.58A 1800 Review

I was so glad I found this cable at a reasonable price. jokes about me After just a month, it suddenly stopped charging. Not only disappointed, but also felt betrayed.

This has a Microsoft label but the quality doesn't seem to match the quality that Microsoft offers. It gets very hot, almost hot, the insulation on the cable leaves bare wires, sparks when connected to my surface. It charges my surface. I will not buy from this seller as I think it is a cheap imitation.

My daughter's Surface Pro 5 school power supply would start up intermittently, then just turn off. The receptionist basically blamed her and told her she had to pay over $125 for a new power supply despite trying to let her know about the problem before it shut down completely. We were able to get this at a significantly reduced price and it worked great. Problem solved.

I doubt the authenticity of this supposedly genuine Microsoft charger and it stopped working before it was a month old, but of course only a few days after the return deadline. Another charger works fine with the same laptop. The light almost never comes on when plugged in and the laptop shows connected then disconnected in an endless loop. Yes I tried cleaning the contacts but it didn't help.

It might be a fake but it's worked fine for the last month and was a heck of a lot cheaper than the real thing. Compared to the original that came with the Surface Pro, the USB connector is reversed, the MS hologram sticker is not a hologram but just a glossy sticker, the "warts" panel on the cable is slightly smaller and it are other anomalies and differences in the fine print. If it doesn't die on me within a year or so I will buy it again.

This week, after seven months, it stopped charging my computer while also powering a mini USB fan plugged into the plug's USB port.

The description says "100% Original Charger 44W 15V 2.58A 1800A Power Adapter for Microsoft Surface Pro 5 2017 T". But that's not the case. Look at the photo. The product even has a Microsoft logo, but it doesn't match the original logo. I believe this item had the Revain Choice logo on it. It works, but I can't risk my system. Alternatively, third-party adapters are available for Surface Pro at half the price. I paid for the original and got a fake. Revain should remove this list.

When we received this charger it worked fine for 35 days then it stopped working and my Surface Pro computer stopped charging. When I contacted the seller to replace it they told me there was nothing they could do to help me and I would have to contact the manufacturer. They didn't give me the information I needed to contact the manufacturer. I couldn't find any contact information. The seller was supposed to come and help, but they refused. I would stay away from this seller.
