Review on Mishimoto MMSK-WH Weighted Shift Knob: Enhanced Shift Control and Style by Fernando Ramani

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nice looking switch with awful adapter options

This is a nice switch 'knob' that differs from most, but the adapters included are awful. None of them fitted my car properly, and when I used the one that fitted closest, the shifter didn't move all the way, leaving a large gap between the shift knob and the shift boot. I ended up using a hacksaw to cut off a large piece of the larger adapter so it could be compressed and then added some teflon tape around it. I got it working but it was still too high and it was very hard to take it off when I had to take it off. I ended up replacing it with a plain Delrin pen from another source. I probably should have just returned that instead of trying to use it. If you like a heavier grip, that's pretty good: the weight is a little heavier than my standard weighted grip.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Not the best
