Review on 🧼 Irish Spring Original Deodorant Soap Unisex, 3.75 Oz Bars – Pack of 8 by Tonya Connors

My husband keeps asking me to buy him this soap. For some reason he likes it. But since this is MY review and not his, I'll tell you why I hate this soap. This is the most drying soap I have ever seen. He has VERY dry skin on his arms and about a quarter of his forearm, an area he cleans when he washes his hands. And it's not just the dryness of the skin - it literally looks like a thin layer of soap is growing in the skin cracks. You can feel his skin and it feels odd, well, soapy. It's only on his hands, but because he washes his hands often during the day (well, when needed.) This causes it. He also uses this soap for bathing, but since it's only once a day, you won't notice the terrible effect. However, I ran out of shower gel several times and had to use his soap before I could get into the shop and it literally feels like having a layer of soapy water on your skin. As if you hadn't washed up even though you did. Like scraping your skin with a razor. This is indeed bad. Now what worries me even more - the limescale from this soap literally lives in the sink and shower. This is the worst soap I've ever had to clean up after. After leaving the sink for two days without cleaning, there is a visible and PERMANENT layer of foam on the sink. The same with the bathroom. He also uses it in the kitchen, and at least it doesn't have the same effect on stainless steel. But this soap is extremely difficult to clean - I often have to clean the bathroom with SOS wipes just to get rid of the soap scum - and it's not because I go weeks without washing, it's because this soap is terrible. Smells great.
