Review on Ford Racing M9600K302 Air Cleaner by Jeremy Adams

I ordered this for my 1966 Mustang. I was satisfied with the quality (very heavy). It comes with a plastic washer/stand that sits on top of the carburetor to raise the air cleaner over the manifold. However, this spacer is too small for a carburetor. Although the gasket OD is the correct 1-5/8" (outside edge to outside edge), the inside diameter is obviously smaller. This means the gasket will not fit snugly against the carburetor lip without warping, or being reworked, for example Example using a Dremel tool Either the gasket wasn't done properly or my particular carburetor is a hair wider than the standard 5-1/8" bore. I will be returning this Revain air purifier and it's a shame because it looks so nice.
