I have quite a bit of video light, mainly because the lighting in my office where I do video conferencing daily is harsh. The table is positioned (and cannot be moved) so that I have two windows, one to my left and one to my left but behind me. Both are essentially facing southeast, so the light coming through is very strong and the left side of my face is almost blacked out. When I close the curtains, the office is dark, especially the right side of my face. To get even lighting, I have to close the curtains about halfway and turn off the lights, which means I have to rely on illumination from additional light sources like this light. When I opened the box I thought there was a piece missing until I realized the light entered the clamp through a magnet. This scared me a little, but I soon found that this is a very strong magnet and stays in place very well. Because the magnet is not tied to anything or restricted by nuts and bolts, it facilitates easy positioning and allows for a greater range of motion than most traditional holders. but still a good volume, color. Management is simple, 5 buttons on the "Remote Wired" remote control. One on/off and one each for color up, color down, brightness up and down. It's not complicated to press, it's always at hand and easy to use. I mount almost every other video light on tripods for better height and angle control, but it's so flexible, light, and strong that I'll just attach it to my laptop or larger external monitor. I would have preferred it to be battery operated and USB charged, I'm not a fan of too many cables running through my desk and it would be great if the controls were truly remote and not connected to a cable but other than that, this is a great light that is very efficient and very easy to set up and use. I almost had no intention of ordering this light because it had to be connected with a USB cable, but now that I have it I'm very glad I decided to buy it.
