These key fobs are poorly designed and manufactured with many flaws due to lack of reinforcement on parts subjected to normal use. Don't plan on using it on a heavy keychain as the metal bracket is secured at the end with two plastic posts inside. Turning the key in the door lock or ignition lock puts stress on the entire frame and the bolt that holds the two main parts together. I ended up just taking the key out of my original fob and clipping it to the keyring along with the new fob. This saved me from having to cut out a new key and will likely help the new key fob last a lot longer.
