Disappointing poorly assembled junk

I was so excited about this scooter. It looks so cute - delicate sky blue color and bright wheels. This was a Christmas present for my daughter who has outgrown her micro tricycle. She was also enthusiastic about her first big girl scooter! But what a disappointment! Aside from looks, everything else about him isn't right. It's incredibly LOUD - it makes a continuous crunching, clinking sound as if it's about to fall apart. It looks cheap and flimsy. It's a VERY bumpy ride - you jump and bounce on every bump in the pavement. And it's VERY slow and hard to drive! Like drag, too much friction somewhere. My daughter was incredibly frustrated with this and just picked it up and carried it around to keep up with her little brother and his Micro 3 wheel "kid scooter". I took a closer look and saw that the bracket holding the back of the wheel was too tight and was actually putting pressure on the wheel! He cut the plastic chain off the bike! Well, no wonder it was loud and harsh. This particular piece was plastic so I cut it off with a utility knife. Poured WD40 on both wheels just in case. Visually it seemed like everything should be fine after troubleshooting. And I think it might have helped a little, but not enough to make a difference. My daughter hates this thing and went back to her kid scooter. I tried to roll back and forth and in fact it still rubs somewhere after the procedure and just rolls very hard. This is absolute rubbish! I will return it and take the two wheeled Micro Scooter. It's more expensive but it's rated 8+ and I'll never have to buy another - she can use it as an adult (unlike this one, which she would eventually outgrow in height if not weight - the pen only has 3 height levels and the highest one is not that high - another downside of this scooter compared to the Micro which has stepless handle height adjustment instead of preset levels). Not to mention the fact that Micro is simply a universe superior in quality. Quiet running and very easy gliding. My husband and I have razors and we love them too - smooth and light. Compared to Micro and Razor, this is a pathetic scooter joke. Instead, save some money and buy a real scooter.
