Review on 🪒 Braun EasyClick Beard Trimmer Attachment: Compatible with Series 5, 6, & 7 Electric Razors by Wendy Catchings

I have had several Braun products over the years and the fact that I keep coming back to them should tell you what I think of them. This one is generally no different; It's a great shave that, if you're careful and take your time, is almost indistinguishable from shaving with a blade. Not impossible, but pretty close. Then why didn't I give five stars? Because there seems to have been a concerted effort to allocate some of the initial cost of the device to future (inevitable) purchases. In this case namely: changing the blade. Razors naturally become dull and you have to buy new blades. But $44 seems like a lot because you have to pay for the whole head. Brown says every 18 months, but if you shave regularly and let it go that long, in my experience you won't be happy with the quality of your shave towards the end. I remember on previous models the knife block and foil were separate and you didn't have to buy both at once unless one of them needed to be replaced. Not anymore - this is a single unit that cannot be purchased any other way. This isn't a deal breaker, but it looks like it was a conscious move to continue generating significant revenue from a one-time purchase. Otherwise good shave.
