Revainrating 5 out of 5

Constructive criticism on a rainy day

Shower head 4 out of 5. - 1 star: hose sucks and nickel-chrome paint polished. RULE 1! DO NOT use plastic overlay tools with rubber grommets inside. The thread breaks and the plastic tears. FIRST you need to tighten everything as tight as you can. Let the rubber grommets do their job so you don't have to force them. Tighten to keep everything straight and aligned where you want. Taste the water and see where it flows. THEN you can shut off the water, now give the tool a half turn, see if it leaks again, repeat as needed until the leak stops. Let quality overwhelm performance. It's no different with the well-known brands, they cost twice as much and are all made of the same material. #2 Does it work as well as established brands? YES SIR. Absolutely. As I said, the same material expects the same result. The price means nothing unless they use better materials. So you might as well buy something cheaper and get more bang for your buck. I removed the water flow restrictor as soon as I got this so I don't have anything restricting the water flow. #3 You won't find a similar design or a nickel-like dual/detachable brush shower head at Lowes/Home Depot. in this price range. If you want to save a few bucks and sacrifice a bit of quality for quantity (which means you get more water, more jets, more options, and by quality sacrifices I mean mostly colorless brush nickel and crappy hose) then this one is perfect. I reused the Glacier inlet hose I had previously installed and it fitted perfectly. Most hoses are compatible with this mount and the threads for the mount are the same. My advice is to use a higher quality hose. Note** If you experience a drop in water pressure in your showerhead after installation, watch the YouTube video that explains how to remove the flow restrictor on showerheads. Now they're in every new shower head, and it's utterly useless. This is meant to save you water and be effective, but it doesn't save you the time it takes to rinse off your shower gel and shampoo as there is no pressure coming out of your shower, resulting in a longer shower time in the end this results in the same or possibly more water consumption.
