Don't let the word brushed nickel fool you. At best, it's plastic, painted in a shade of brushed nickel. Every part here is plastic including the bypass valve, hose, etc. The bypass valve works but I'm concerned how long it will last as the valve is plastic! And the hose is awful as it holds the umbrella that was in the box and doesn't hang properly. If I end up with a spare, it will be a real hose.

At the time of my purchase this was the only brushed nickel shower head available. The shower heads work as they should but I am very disappointed that they use a 6ft rubber hose. I jumped, after a couple of hot showers the hose came loose, after 3 weeks - no luck. It seems that he is always on the move and has nowhere to go. My previous hand showers had the perfect metal hose. I will be replacing this rubber hose with a metal hose in the near future. If you want a brushed nickel keep looking…

The shower heads work very well and the jet handle has a good strong flow. This is very handy for rinsing at the other end of the shower. The only reason I'm only giving 4 stars is because the atomizer handle attachment doesn't work. The handle is too big to stay "locked" when not in use. Shower head 4 out of 5. - 1 star: hose sucks and nickel-chrome paint polished. RULE 1! DO NOT use plastic overlay tools with rubber grommets inside. The thread breaks and the plastic tears. FIRST you need to tighten everything as tight as you can. Let the rubber grommets do their job so you don't have to force them. Tighten to keep everything straight and aligned where you want.
