Very good value buttons (less than 10 cents each). Sized according to the packaging and a reasonable thickness (thin ones are dime thin, some may be a bit thicker). It's worth noting that the back of some buttons is a bit uneven (first photo, top left is the worst I can find in a box) and it's possible that part of that outer shell has come off (second photo). Mother of pearl, iridescent face undamaged. I also noticed that there is no loop on one button (it appears to be closer to the bottom right in the second photo), but there is an indentation. Worst case I try to poke a hole and it breaks. None of them are deal breaker for me due to value for money and the natural anatomy of mussels. (I suppose you can sand the backing and then seal if you like.) They're not so flimsy that they crumble to the touch.
