This review is about the GTO 609c 6.5" Finishing Kit. I am amazed by the sound quality of these speakers! I replaced a 5 year old set of Rockford Fosgate Power Coaxial 6.5" speakers with these in my 3rd generation (2010) Honda CR-V. In fact I was very happy with the sound of the coaxial HF but was keen to try a set of components for a better sound. I use a 12" Punch P3 subwoofer and the bass just overwhelmed the mids and highs. I built the tweeters into the sail panel (surface mount) and placed the crossovers in the door panels. As mentioned in other reviews, the tweeters are tiny! But don't let that discourage you. These things really sing! I'm really impressed with the variety of tones from these speakers. I don't add much bass to them due to the subwoofer but they still have a good midrange. They also only work with my Pioneer at the moment -Head unit around 22W RMS. I am planning on boosting them soon and I am sure the sound will be even more amazing! Overall the quality and sound of these speakers is fantastic at this price point. If you want a great sounding set of components without breaking the bank. Buy them now! It's also a great little amp, putting out enough power to drive a range of components, and its small size makes it easy to assemble. Another great product from JBL!
