My old factory backup camera died. I connected this new one to the existing factory cables/connectors by simply cutting the 4 wires coming from the old camera and connecting them to the wires coming from the new camera. The Mercedes factory camera ran on 6v and this new camera also works well on 6v (although it is advertised as 12v only). The only problem is the camera angle (dictated by the factory position on the tailgate), which is tilted down very steeply. This makes the guidelines on this camera almost useless. Luckily, you can disable them by cutting the blue wire loop.
