Ideal for serving food or drinks. I really like the difference in size of the two pieces. You can serve/hold a little or a lot. I use a small one to reduce clutter on my kitchen counter. It's easy to move all the little things around at once when I have to use my entire table for food prep. Caution: Do not spill too much liquid on it. Easy to clean if the liquid stays in the middle. Due to the "wood" material it can become damaged over time from too much spilling/too much water exposure.
