I love this chair AFTER my modifications. First of all it's very high quality, although I think it was made FOR La Z Boy, not La Z Boy. Second, it's VERY tall and I'm 6'40" waist and 235 lbs. I had to buy a regular chair, not a larger version. I think it was rated at 400lbs. my old chair so I went with that one which had the best upholstery materials.It's heavy and bulky and if you don't want the XL size then stick with the regular size chairs.Secondly following the instructions we had no assembly problems as others have complained.Thirdly leans the chair is of course further back than I would like. In other words, the back is not very close to vertical. Maybe it would work if I weighed 300-400 pounds and had a much bigger stomach than me, but I find that I can lean back when I want to get to work on my computer or at my desk immediately. If you look at the front edge There is a 20 mm (3/4 inch thick) plastic washer on the large mounting plate under the seat e which tilts back the bracket. Remove that plastic washer and buy 2 shorter replacement screws and problem solved. I used 8mm x 25mm screws Very happy now and a lot easier than returning the chair.
