I ordered a couple of these monitors when trying to upgrade my dual display KVM system to a higher resolution of 2560 x 1440. My old system used DVI and this one uses DisplayPort + 2 HDMI and I tried two different KVM switches and none of them worked properly with DisplayPort connections so I ended up having to connect one system to DisplayPort monitors and another to HDMI and switch the inputs manually . Therefore, my biggest criticism of the design is: who would have thought that adding not only manual input switching to at least a 4-button OSD process would be a good idea - what can't you bring? up if there isn't at least one working input? (On my old monitor, I only had to press one button to switch inputs.) And then I thought it would be better to put the FIVE buttons, used to turn it on and adjust settings, on the BACK of the monitor, instead of turning them on the front. or below? I seriously have to reach out and press three different buttons on the back of the monitor at least four times to switch inputs or turn it on or off. Extremely annoying, especially when it goes through each input for a few seconds when you turn it on. The video quality on this monitor is great, but it doesn't look that great from a certain angle. The speakers on this monitor are terrible and I also use a Roku joystick in my setup which I plug into HDMI and route audio to the speaker. The audio output on this monitor does not work properly. I have two different monitors from two different batches and they both have the same problem: I can get the audio to work with an external speaker, but when I unplug that audio cable or try to run it through a KVM switch, the monitor stops to transmit sound. via the audio output. The internal speakers are still disabled, and even if you unplug the speaker and plug it back in, I can't get the audio to work again until I unplug the audio, monitor power, the Roku joystick, and its power supply. Serious. Simply restarting Roku doesn't even help, it's a monitor issue. On two separate monitors. How difficult is it to design an analog audio output connection that works without having to unplug the monitor? I've had ViewSonics in the past so I assumed it would be another great connector, but unfortunately it's not. I give it 4 stars for its decent video quality (when viewed straight on and not at an angle) and its terrible feature and audio controls, but even that is generous. If you're just using it for video on a computer and don't care about audio or multiple inputs, you're fine.
