Update 9/22/21: I've had to replace the batteries twice since writing the original review. The first time it happened so soon after installation I thought I might have accidentally left the light on. After putting in new batteries about a month ago, I turned the light on "maybe" 4 times for less than a minute each, knowing full well that I had to be careful not to burn out the batteries. I just tried turning on the light and got a big NO! For some reason the 3 batteries don't last as long as I think they should be easy to install and I don't know if I'll ever use other lights but they are 'good'. The only downside to this mirror is its enlarged side. You have to be really close to see your picture clearly - someone said "4" and I believe it's true. My last lighted mirror I had was larger and I didn't even have to go close to 10x magnification. It's decent quality, but if I order it again it's because of the small size (8 inches) and the need to get that damn close to see the magnified side clearly. I'll stick with it as long as I don't get too frustrated with the size.
