Review on Lithonia Lighting FMMCL 840 S1 by James Gibson

At first I thought I made a mistake when I bought it because the whole lamp is so small. I thought it would never brighten up my closet. Not correct. Admittedly the cabinet is smaller than 4ft by 4ft as it is a historic home but the light is much brighter than the previous fixture and half the size. This is because there is no actual lightbulb inside the fixture. occur. The? Crazy technique, but it works great. Unfortunately, the screws that came with it weren't the size I needed to attach it to the steel box in the wall, so I was missing a screw because the old mount only had one screw holding it. Luckily I had more screws in the garage. I'm a DIY enthusiast and was afraid to take this on as I don't like electrical projects and usually call an expensive electrician. But it was so easy; Simply connect the three wires to the wires in the wall and attach the wall mount to the steel box in the wall. I obviously installed the steel bracket backwards and had to redo the wiring, but you learn as you go. The pins point towards you so that the last socket head screws can hold the light to the wall bracket. I also labeled the wires to make sure I know which white wire connects to the black wire on the bracket. Why they make both wires coming out of the wall white and one of the wires black on the light fixture I'll never know. But I just copied the old lamp to make sure I did everything right. I recommend light, even for a larger closet. Like the design.
