Review on CHUWI GemiBook Lightweight Notebook Keyboard Computers & Tablets by Franz Esquivel

When I got the first one my first impression was that this is a lot for a computer at this price point. The screen was okay - there were some flares around the edges, but the color and brightness were good. The keyboard is nice and easy to type on. But the backlight went out quickly and I had to tap a button to turn it back on, and I couldn't change that setting. Performance was poor, but that's to be expected given the hardware components used. However, there were serious problems with the software. First, I couldn't get Windows Mail to work, even with updates, reinstalling Mail, etc. So after researching online and not finding any answers, I tried restarting the laptop. What a mess he made - when the computer finished resetting it only reinstalled 1/4 of the programs. Just a few programs for Windows, nothing more. Decided to return and exchange for another. When I got the second one everything went well at first and I thought it would be the winner. Everything went fine and even did a reset to make sure everything was working properly. I spent a couple of days setting everything up and eventually settled back to watch Netflix with Bluetooth audio through my receiver. The sound of the blue tooth began to "cut in and out," making the film impossible to watch. Then I tried mp music stored on the computer - same result. Obviously a bad bluetooth card or driver but with all the other issues I gave up and returned this one too. I think with a little extra work and quality control these laptops could be a good choice but for now they seem to be in trouble.
