First of all, the mount is very heavy for the most part. However, it has a significant disadvantage that makes it unusable. The tilt is held by a friction joint that is tightened with a very small lever such as a vise. It's very difficult to tighten and then it can't hold the TV in any position other than straight up. I call Echogear and while the rep on the phone was very nice, he told me this was a known design flaw. with their product and there is nothing that can be done to fix the problem for my purposes. He suggested I go to Costco and buy another brand of mounts that their company also makes. The Costco block can solve the problem, I don't know, but the cost is 33% more, I have to disassemble the current Echo product and then send the first block back to Revain and then reassemble the new block, which may not be the case is even working. .They could have easily solved this problem by stamping a jagged grille into the sheet metal, but instead the company decided to resell the mount with a known problem. I think that says a lot about Echogear as a company. You should spend less time fooling around with the manual and more time developing a good product.
