Switzerland compatible, this Desmond QR plate makes it compatible. It has an eyelet that will hold it onto the Nikon stem when properly tightened. I used some Loctite to make sure it didn't come loose and used a screwdriver to tighten the screw to get it all the way in. Be careful not to overtighten; First hand tighten them as tight as possible, then use a screwdriver to tighten them a little more. This plate adds a bit of weight to the lens, but when you're talking about a big, heavy lens it's negligible. I highly recommend this plate over spending $120 or more to replace a collar. Not necessary.
