Edit June 2021: The replacement filter has arrived and works great. If you're reading this in the future and I haven't come back to update this review, that means it's still working great as I'll be sure to update if anything changes. I guess this is a fairly new company. I considered giving only 3 or 4 stars because it took so long between the glitch and customer support. If I were to buy again I might still choose a more reputable company for this reason, realizing that any device with a constantly running fan has an increased risk of breakage. Other than that, I really like this particular model.1). It's more fashionable than any other air filter except for the most popular mid-century modern filter. 2) very large air intake area (important feature) 3) vertical height prevents it from taking up too much floor space and means you can install it on a table or even a deep shelf if you turn it upside down (turn so that the air inlet is not blocked). Installing premium air filters is a waste of electricity at best and makes the air toxic at worst.) 5) An easy-to-read air quality gauge helps me know when to close my bedroom window or door. The magnetic closure makes it extremely easy to remove hair and dust from the outside of the filter. The ability to simply keep the air intake clean means the filter works more efficiently, efficiently and longer. 7) It is much cheaper than an equivalent air filter from any of the well-known brands. Now 5 stars. I will give the company the benefit of the doubt in terms of quality control and customer support because their design team is very good and they got it right in the end.______ EDIT May 2021: The company contacted me to replace my broken unit. If it catches on and works well, it will surely change my mind. I'll update this review when/when it comes out and I've had a chance to test it. ______________ Bought in September 2019 but didn't set it up until November because the air quality in my city finally improved. Good: I like the design aesthetically and functionally. It's obviously big, but all the cleaners in this category are big. It's a good height and not too low, and the tall air intake area feels more efficient than some other similar products trying to pull air in from a smaller space. works at full capacity but i live in a big city with a lot of noise so i thought it was a plus. I like the extra white noise! The problems started after about a month of use. Sometimes I would hear this low whine, like the preloaded fan wasn't properly loaded. When I changed the speed it went away, so I didn't give it much importance. Big mistake. I had to send it back immediately because such problems keep getting worse. Now I can't run it at any speed without a very loud noise (even with the air from the fan itself). I expect it to break completely soon if I keep using it, but I stopped using it because the sound is very annoying and the power consumption is much higher than its rated power. Maybe my model isn't running at ideal efficiency due to bias, I don't know. But it uses almost as much electricity to run as my fridge does. (I've checked the filter many times and never had it clog with excessive dust. I haven't moved it or tipped it over. I've tried leveling it...etc. This is a quality control issue or a design issue.) I probably will having to throw them away instead of buying a replacement filter, which is quite a lot of wasted money. I can try to get a replacement from the manufacturer. , but I'm not sure how much trouble it will cause. Next time I'll just choose a better known brand for a little more money. Cheaper in the long run to give the device some life.
